Mostly this will be random shit but may be if you filter through the lovely bits of nonsense and bullshit, you may find a nice little nugget of wisdom. but seriously dont hold your breath for it.

Grammy Nominees

I will preface this by saying that I don't know dick about music. I will repeat that I DON'T KNOW DICK ABOUT MUSIC. So if you don't like what I say that is why. I just wanted to comment on the Grammy nominations.

Record of the Year:
"Let's Get It Started" The Black Eyed Peas
"Here We Go Again" Ray Charles and Norah Jones
"American Idiot" Green Day
"Heaven," Los Lonely Boys
"Yeah!" Usher featuring Lil' Jon and Ludacris

If I got to choose: Heaven
I think will win: Here We Go Again
Comments:
I think if you cant have the original it shouldn't win(that takes out the BEP keep it "Lets Get Retarded") and I liked "Hey Mama" better. I haven't actually heard "Here We Go Again" but I think that will win because lets face it Ray Charles and Norah Jones cant really miss Grammy wise.

Album of the Year:
"Genius Loves Company" Ray Charles and Various Artists
"American Idiot" Green Day
"The Diary of Alicia Keys" Alicia Keys
"Confessions" Usher
"The College Dropout" Kanye West

If I got to choose: The College Dropout w/ American Idiot close second
I think will win: Confessions
Comments:
I love the fact that you really cant pick a single song from the dropout that stands out because the album is fantastic as a whole. How ever I believe that they will focus on sales for this one which will give it to Usher.

Song of the Year:
"Daughters" John Mayer (John Mayer)
"If I Ain't Got You" Alicia Keys (Alicia Keys)
"Jesus Walks" C. Smith and Kanye West (Kanye West)
"Live Like You Were Dying" Tim Nichols and Craig Wiseman (Tim McGraw)
"The Reason" Daniel Estrin and Douglas Robb (Hoobastank)

If I got to choose: If I Ain't Got You
I think will win: Live Like You Were Dying
Comments:
I hated the video, but every time it is on the radio I cant help but sing it, but usually a Country Artist takes at least one category so I think that this is it.

New Artist:
Los Lonely Boys
Maroon 5
Joss Stone
Kanye West
Gretchen Wilson

If I got to choose: Joss Stone
I think will win: Maroon 5
Comments:
For some reason I don't think that they will give this to a hip hop artist. I am all about Joss stone, I love her voice. And it is amazing coming out of her mouth. But with songs like "This Love" and "She will be Loved"(which I like if you take out the chorus) I think it is sown up for Maroon 5.

Pop Vocal Album:
"Genius Loves Company" Ray Charles and Various Artists
"Feels Like Home" Norah Jones
"Afterglow" Sarah McLachlan
"Mind, Body and Soul" Joss Stone
"Brian Wilson Presents Smile" Brian Wilson

If I got to choose: Mind, Body and Soul
I think will win: any one of these
Comments:
This one is too close to call I am thinking that any of these artists are extremely "Grammy friendly" and as I said before I am all about Joss Stone.

Rock Album:
"The Delivery Man" Elvis Costello and the Imposters
"American Idiot" Green Day
"The Reason" Hoobastank
"Hot Fuss" the Killers
"Contraband" Velvet Revolver

If I got to choose: American Idiot
I think will win: The Delivery Man
Comments:
For those who scoff I have two words for you: JETHRO TULL

R&B Album:
"My Everything" Anita Baker
"I Can't Stop" Al Green
"The Diary of Alicia Keys" Alicia Keys
"Musicology" Prince
"Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2" Jill Scott

If I got to choose: I Can't Stop
I think will win: Musicology or The Diary of Alicia Keys
Comments:
there is a saying if you cant make love to Al Green, Quit trying to make love. But this will be a very hard one to crack but I think that record sales will determined this and Musicology sales are inflated.

Rap Album:
"To the 5 Boroughs" Beastie Boys
"The Black Album" Jay-Z
"The DEFinition" LL Cool J
"Suit" Nelly
"The College Dropout" Kanye West

If I got to choose: The College Dropout
I think will win: The Black Album
Comments:
They're probably already making the plaque for this one. It is Jay's last album and Eminem is no where to be seen. But watch out for LL Cool J too.

Country Album:
"Van Lear Rose" Loretta Lynn
"Live Like You Were Dying" Tim McGraw
"Tambourine" Tift Merritt
"Be Here" Keith Urban
"Here for the Party" Gretchen Wilson

If I got to choose: Here for the Party
I think will win: Live Like You Were Dying
Comments: since Gretchen wont win new artist I think she should win his but Tim McGraw is like the Tom Hanks of the country scene.

Latin Pop Album:
"Amar Sin Mentiras" Marc Anthony
"SinVerguenza" Bacilos
"Pau-latina" Paulina Rubio
"Diego Torres: MTV Unplugged" Diego Torres
"El Rock De Mi Pueblo" Carlos Vives

If I got to choose: Diego Torres: MTV Unplugged

I think will win: Amar Sin Mentiras

Comments: Marc Anthony will win because he can fuck JLo and there is no losing in that situation.

I will be back after the Grammys to check this. I am not saying I am going to be right about any of these but what the hell this what these are for.
